So much information is available on the internet about Rush that I will not even try to write it all here. My blogs are intended to give new fans a basic overview of my favorite songs so they can check them out and possibly become addicted to the sounds. Rush is an album oriented band at times and thus it’s best to listen to entire albums. Many of their albums are masterpieces well worth buying. I’m positive that if you download the songs I list that someday you will buy a Rush CD. Rush has experimented with a lot of different styles and not all of its songs are appealing to everyone but over the years enough material has been recorded to put on a kick ass concert.
Working Man from the first album called Rush, Fly By Night from Fly By Night, Temples of Syrinx from Rush 2112, Closer To The Heart from Farewell To Kings, The Spirit Of Radio and Free Will from Permanent Waves, Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, Limelight, and Vital Signs from Moving Pictures, Subdivisions and New World Man from Signals, and Time Stands Still from Hold Your Fire. These are just my favorite songs and by no means include all the greatest hits. I kind of like Far Cry from Snakes And Arrows as well but I haven’t heard the whole disc yet.
"All the world's indeed a stage
And we are merely players
Performers and portrayers
Each another's audience
Outside the gilded cage"
