Aldo Nova
Growing up in Canada I didn't even know that Aldo Nova was from Montreal till years after his popularity was over. I just assumed the great music was from America or elsewhere. The Self tiled album Aldo Nova that was released around 1982 or so contained the massive hit Fantasy which i thought was the greatest thing at the time. The album was somewhat of a one album wonder that is quite good from beginning to end but probably all you will ever need if you are looking for the artist's music. Years later I actually read the Fantasy lyrics and realized the song is about sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Well not really rock and roll but the albums cover screams it so we will use the phrase. The CD is well worth buying if you are into classic rock.
Along with Fantasy, you will find the songs, Heart To Heart, Hot Love, Ball And Chain, It's Too Late, Under The Gun, You're My Love, Foolin' Yourself, and See The Light which are all worth listening to.
